The GOTAFE Goulburn Valley League’s (GVL) number one priority is the health and wellbeing of its supporters, players, umpires, officials, partners, volunteers and committees and everyone across all our local communities.
The AFL and Netball Victoria have now both released their return to small group training guidelines for community football and netball. These can be found here https://bit.ly/3g1HjrQ
GVL Board Chairman David Roff says, “We appreciate that this is a challenging period for community clubs as they try to navigate through these guidelines. The GVL Board is working with all of its member clubs to ensure that we are following all recommended Federal and State Government, health organisations and the AFL’s and Netball Victoria’s guidelines. We await further information from the State Government in relation to restrictions around crowd sizes and numbers of people at outdoor gatherings. This will be a major deciding factor as to whether the 2020 season goes ahead or not.”
The GVL will be holding a board meeting on Wednesday 20 May 2020. A President’s meeting, where all member clubs will be in attendance, will be held on Thursday 21 May 2020.
Goulburn Valley League Operations Manager Josephine Spencer says, “We are here to work with and support our member clubs to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone in our community.”
