GOTAFE GVL Wraps Up the 2020 “Mo Cup” Premiership Challenge.
Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health, and this Movember, the GOTAFE Goulburn Valley League (GVL) joined in the fun by holding the inaugural GOTAFE GVL Mo’ Cup Premiership Challenge.
To help support this initiative GVL Board Chairman David Roff & Board Member Brett Stevens led the charge for the board and grew Mo’s.
GVL Board Chairman David Roff said, “We put the challenge out to everyone at each of our member clubs, and across the community, to join us in the inaugural GOTAFE GVL Mo’ Premiership Cup Challenge. We had 33 participants from 8 of our member clubs sign up as Mo’ Bros & Mo Sisters to help raise vital funds for men’s health.”
Mr Roff continued by saying, “I am so pleased to announce that collectively, we raised $18,292. The inaugural GOTAFE GVL Mo Cup Premiership Challenge has been a fun way to raise awareness for a vital cause. It’s also been a great way to get players, coaches, committee members, trainers, volunteers and more involved.”

The Mo-rrison Medal and Best Individual Trophies were presented to winner Jarrod Sutherland earlier this evening. The Best Club trophy will be presented to Mooroopna FNC in the near future.
GVL Operations Manager Jo Spencer said, “It’s been so fantastic to see everyone get involved. There were certainly some interesting looking attempts at Mo’s across the GVL and as the month progressed, the competitiveness came through with lots of friendly rivalry going on. We have had perpetual trophies made as this will now become an annual event in the GVL’s calendar. Thank you to everyone that got involved and thank you to everyone who made a donation. The Mo’ Cup Challenge has been a great way to come together in what has been a challenging year.”
