Club Milestone News from Echuca FNC.
Belinda Lees 100 EFNC Games!
Congratulations, Belinda Lees. This weekend you will be playing your 100th game for the Echuca Football Netball Club!
At just 17 years old, Belinda made her A Grade debut for the Mighty Bombers in 2003. Two decades later, in 2023, she stepped into the role of A Grade Playing Coach and wasted no time making an impact, leading her team to a premiership victory. This would be her 5th A grade premiership win.
Belinda is an exceptionally talented netballer, a fierce competitor always two steps ahead of her opponent. Her extensive knowledge of the game is matched by her tactical brilliance.
When Belinda is playing netball, her family is always nearby. Amelia and Coco, they have seen almost every game and have been to nearly every training session. They know, more than anyone, the strength and dedication underlying your commitment to the game (and to us, your teammates)!
Your dad once said to you, “If you want something, the only person stopping you is yourself.” And that’s exactly how you play every game—with determination, passion, and an unwavering belief that anything is possible.
Congratulations Belinda, we wish you many more successful years with the Echuca Football Netball Club.
Let’s see what 2025 brings for you Coach.
Curtis Townrow 50 Senior Games
Curtis is another graduate of our junior program. It just took him a little longer to reach this milestone. A stint in ballarat at university he played for the Skipton Emus. He has returned seriously trimmed down and changed a few habits. Big CJ is not big on preseasons in the summertime because he is busy winning flags for Echuca Cricket club. Various injuries over the time has got him playing his 50th on Saturday.
Curt loves a good time and a man who has the most rules for a game of beer pong, he has a fog horn of a voice and you can hear that at full back.
Curt is a 3 time premiership and has give his heart and soul to the club since returning, he was also a premiership coach for our under 18 group last year. A great asset to the senior group his voice and leadership along with great skill set on either side of his Body has allowed Curt to enjoy such a great career so far at EFNC. Congratulations Curt. Enjoy the weekend. Many more to come.
Greta Pearson 150 Games
This weekend, Greta Pearson reaches a personal and club milestone of 150 games for EFNC!
Greta has been part of the fabric of the Echuca Football Netball Club for many years. After learning to play netball at EDNA, she joined EFNC as a 14-year-old in 2010 in the Under 17’s. Her talent and dedication quickly saw her rise through the ranks, earning a spot in A Grade by 2012 and taking out the Karen Monahan Rising Star Award that same year.
The only time Greta spent away from EFNC was during her university years, when she played four seasons with Lake Wendouree. Since returning, she has continued to be a driving force at the club—not just as a player, but also as a coach and valued committee member.
Greta is the ultimate teammate and club person. Her commitment on and off the court is admired by everyone around her, and her impact on EFNC has been nothing short of remarkable.
Congratulations, Greta!
