200 A GRADE GAMES FOR BRIDGETTE McCARTY 💛🖤
This Friday we celebrate one of the greats…Bridgette McCarty will run out for her 200th A Grade game for the Rochester Football Netball Club.
Bridgette’s contribution to our club is truly unmatched. She is the heart and soul of Rochester netball – a selfless, loyal and inspiring leader who brings out the best in everyone around her.
To honour this incredible milestone, Bridgette will also be awarded Life Membership of the Goulburn Valley League – a recognition of the
impact she’s made not just on our club, but across the league.
Bridgette’s playing record is as impressive as they come:
🏆 4 x Club Best & Fairest – 2012, 2014, 2016, 2022
🥈 7 x Runner Up – 2013, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2023, 2024
🌟 Club Rising Star – 2011
She’s only missed B&F honours twice – in her debut season (playing A Grade as a 17-year-old), and in 2019 after rupturing her ACL in Round 4.
Bridgette is our current A Grade captain, and one of the highlights of this season has been seeing her team up in defence with her twin sister Maddy once again – a partnership that’s as exciting as it is effective, and one that’s been a joy for the Rochester faithful to witness.
Off the court, Bridgette has coached our 17 & Unders, led B Reserve to the 2024 Grand Final (and is coaching again this year), and served as our umpire coordinator for the last few years.
She’s also part of a true Rochester power couple – married to Nathan, our current Senior Football captain.
Bridgette is everything a club could hope for – loyal, driven, humble, and deeply committed to her team and community. Let’s show her how much she means to us – #200ForBridgey 🐯💛🖤
🏐 Her A Grade game begins at 4pm, with the Life Membership presentation taking place just before the game. Make sure you’re there to help us celebrate one of Rochester’s finest.
