We congratulate Rochester player Sahra Brooks who will play her 400th game this weekend. Rochester had this to say about Sahra:
This Saturday we celebrate a once-in-a-generation milestone – Sahra Brooks will take the court for her 400th club game for the Rochester Football Netball Club.
Sahra’s contribution to our club is nothing short of extraordinary. She is the backbone of Rochester netball – the ultimate teammate, a tireless worker, and a loyal club person through and through.
A GVL and RFNC Life Member, Sahra has played 150 A Grade games, captained multiple sides, and played across every senior grade with her trademark grit, humility, and heart.
Her playing accolades include:
Gaye Eaton Medallist
RFNC B Grade B&F Runner-Up
RFNC B Reserve B&F Winner
RFNC B Reserve B&F Runner-Up
But Sahra’s legacy goes far beyond the court. She has served 11 seasons as Club Secretary, coached our B Reserve side, and continues to be the first to roll up her sleeves – whether it’s cleaning the clubrooms, blower vaccing the courts, weeding around the courts, or making sure our uniforms are looking and fitting just right.
Her incredible longevity and success are no accident – she spends hours every week shooting goals, hitting the gym, and pushing herself to be better. She leads by example in every way.
Sahra is everything we value at Rochester – selfless, dedicated, inspiring, and fiercely committed to her club and teammates.
Let’s pack the sidelines and celebrate this remarkable milestone.
